Expectation is a personal photo project exploring both external and internal expectations of the female body: of my body as a woman in my 30s, as a professional working woman, as a woman of faith, as a second-generation Chinese immigrant woman. There’s a constant struggle to define what it means to hold beauty and value in my physical body, independent of the expectations projected on me.
